We have been waiting for the latest for a long timeRange Roverwith the service life of the old model reaching almost a decade. The latest Range Rover model has already received some changes for 2023 to stay ahead of the competition.

The new Range Rover starts from £103,720 and is the first model on the British marque's new MLA-Flex platform, which features only an internal combustion engine, plug-in hybrid technology and all-electric drivetrain. The Range Rover EV has been confirmed for 2024.
Range Rover has also announced several new powertrains for 2023, as well as an enhanced selection of SV Bespoke services that allow for greater customization.
New Range Rover 2023: engines, power and performance
With the arrival of the new Range Rover came new technology in plug-in hybrid options. Two plug-in hybrid models of the new Range Rover were initially available, the P440e and P510e, but have since been replaced by more powerful versions, the P460e and P550e.
Review of the new Range Rover 2022
Both PHEVs use a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six gasoline engine in tandem with a 217-hp electric motor (up from 141 hp in the P440e and P510e). The detuned P460e has a total of 453 hp, while the P550e has 542 hp - compared to the P510e's 503 hp. Range Rover claims the P550e's 0-100km/h time is five seconds - half a second faster than the P510e.
Both variants will offer up to 75 miles of electric-only range (with an expected real-world range of 59 miles). CO2 emissions are also slightly improved for PHEVs with 16g/km in hybrid mode. 50 kW DC fast charging allows the battery to be charged from 0 to 80 percent in less than an hour.
With all-electric EV mode, you can choose between Hybrid mode - a default setting that combines both energy sources and uses predictive energy optimization technology, as well as geofencing to ensure the availability of electric drive in, for example, low-emission zones - and Mode saving. The latter setting retains a programmable state of charge for use later in the driver's journey.
Land Rover has also introduced SV versions of the new Range Rover, with the new top-of-the-range specification available in short or long wheelbase versions. Hybrid powertrain can now be an option on SV models.
The engine range also includes mild hybrid technology, with a 394bhp 3.0-litre petrol engine (0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds, 29.7mpg combined and 215g/km CO2), as well as two diesel options . The D300 and D350 models with the 3.0-liter six-liter inline engine offer 296 hp and 345 hp respectively, fuel consumption of up to 37.2 mpg and CO2 emissions of 198 g/km.
There's also a new 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, now mated to a mild hybrid system to help increase power output from 523PS to 607PS, with the same 750Nm of torque. Thanks to the Dynamic Launch system, we expect the top model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.6 seconds, while the top speed should still be limited to 255 km/h.

All powertrains are mated to an eight-speed low-range automatic transmission and Land Rover's all-wheel drive system with Terrain Response 2 technology that adapts the drivetrain to different surfaces, while a new intelligent all-wheel drive system can disengage the front axle between 21 and 100 mph to improve efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions up to 4 g/km.
New Range Rover 2023: design
Having a familiar name like Range Rover makes sense to not want to dress up the visuals too much. It is certainly a modern evolution of Range Rover styling. Up front, the radiator grille has been refreshed with a new look, the standard digital LED headlights are sharper, and most of the car's driver assistance sensors are housed in a panel at the bottom of the bumper for a smoother, cleaner look. This also helps reduce drag and improve aerodynamic efficiency.
According to Land Rover design director Massimo Frascelli, the design of the new Range Rover is based on reductionism, reducing the lines and joints in the body to give a new, more restrained view of the modernluxurious.
With this in mind, no Range Rover will carry a boot badge alongside the engine or equipment, while leather alternatives will be offered in the form of technical Ultrafabric Kvadrat fabric to improve sustainability. However, leather will still be offered as standard.
Land Rover's design reductionism is clearly visible at the rear, where the new car's biggest styling changes are evident. The taillights and indicators are housed in a solid black panel that is opaque when the lights are off.
Three clear horizontal lines continue to stand out from the profile of the Range Rover. The first under the door, which now goes up towards the rear, the second goes from the bonnet and is sharper and narrower than before, and the third separates the model's distinctive floating roof.
This is not the only styling detail that has been retained, as the new Range Rover continues to feature split rear doors and the U-shaped door inserts have evolved. Alloy wheels ranging from 20 to 23 inches will be available depending on specification.
Interior, technology and practicality
This fifth generation Range Rover will be the first to offer seating for seven people. The new car is available with a standard wheelbase for five people, and if you opt for the long wheelbase variant, you can also order a third row of seats.
The LWB model adds an extra 200mm between the car's axles, facilitating the new seat configuration. We tried the third row at the premiere of the car and although there is not as much room as in the larger brandDiscovery, there is still enough room for children and adults for shorter trips.
Improved torsional stiffness (up to 50 percent) thanks to the new aluminum-heavy platform means Land Rover engineers have been able to increase the size of the door openings to improve access, which is reasonable.
SWB models can be equipped with five seats, and if you opt for the Executive Class seating package, this includes four seats. Single rear seats are available on SWB and LWB cars, increasing kneeroom by 44mm; in LWB models with four seats there is up to one meter of legroom.

This package also includes an 8-inch steering wheel with rear touchscreen for fine-tuning the rear cabin, and the rear seats recline up to 25 degrees for even more comfort and sophistication. If you want a seven-seat layout, you're limited to LWB form, although there are heated seats in all rows, and the rows are also multi-layered to improve visibility the farther you sit, and electrically fold at the touch of a button. button.
In 2023, the Range Rover will be equipped with Land Rover's latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. It still uses the same gently curved 13.1-inch dashboard touchscreen, but "Country Road Assist" technology has been added along with revised off-road cruise control.

All-wheel steering is standard, turning the rear wheels opposite to the front wheels by up to seven degrees at low speed, giving the Range Rover over five meters of 10.95m turning radius, smaller than mostsuperman.
In addition, the luggage space in the cabin has been optimized with many more smart shelves and containers, and the boot capacity is 725 liters in both five-seat versions SWB and LWB. Opt for the seven-seater and with all rows up, that's 312 litres, rising to 713 liters with the third row folded.
A maximum of 1,841 liters is available in SWB and 2,601 liters in LWB when all seats are folded.
Range Rover SV models offer more personalization options
Land Rover is showing the Range Rover SV models alongside the standard car, with this ultra-luxury option gaining more customization options and various design details.

The luxury SUV maker has also introduced new levels of customization for 2023. There are 391 interior colors on offer, and the SV Bespoke paint service can redo any paint job if the 230 original options aren't enough. Customers can visit the SV Bespoke Commissioning Suite to help create a more personal Range Rover.
Available in SWB as well as LWB configurations with four and five seats, the brand offers two SV styling themes: SV Serenity and SV Intrepid. The former features an atlas silver metallic grille finish as well as Corinthian bronze accents, including door inserts. The Range Rover lettering is also in Corinthian bronze with satin silver edging.
Designed to enhance the car's elegance, the Serenity features an embroidered mosaic pattern on the inside, as well as lighter two-tone upholstery.
The SV Intrepid theme, on the other hand, has a sportier, more driver-focused look and features dark Anthracite trim instead of the brown Serenity trim, while the interior also gets a sporty accent on either single-tone or two-tone leather upholstery. New Range Rover 2023: technical specifications
From launch, the new Range Rover is available in SE, HSE, Autobiography and SV trim levels, as well as a First Edition model that will be available for sale during the first year of production.
Prices started at £94,400 for the D300 SE, but have now risen to £103,720. Above that is the HSE which starts at £110,050. Both the SE and HSE can be had with the D350 and P400 powertrains. The P460e kicks off the plug-in hybrid lineup, and the P550e sits above it.
